Sunshine Lady Foundation agrees to Pilot Program with DCCF

The Sunshine Lady Foundation (SLF), chaired by Doris Buffett, has selected the Delaware County Community Foundation to pilot a program to see if the Sunshine Lady program can be administered, at the local level, in a cost-efficient way.

SLF has been making small grants, on behalf of individuals, to help them with one-time, emergency or hardship situations.  Under this pilot program, SLF will establish a Field of Interest Fund at DCCF.  The Sunshine Lady Foundation will set the criteria for donations for emergency relief.  DCCF will manage the process, including receiving and investigating requests for assistance, making grant awards, and soliciting further donations for the program.  The pilot program is expected to begin early next year.
